Ahmad Bilal
Founder of Harry Quiz and the biggest Harry Potter fan I know
Hi, I'm Ahmad. I love Harry Potter more than I can explain in one paragraph, so I built a whole website about it. Come in, sit down, and let's talk about the wizarding world like two friends in the Great Hall.
How Harry Potter found me
Like a lot of you, I did not choose Harry Potter. It kind of chose me. One story led to another, and before I knew it I was staying up late just to finish one more chapter. I still remember how it felt to open the books for the first time and think, "Wait, this world is real to me now."
Since then I have lost count of how many times I have read the books and watched the movies. Every time I find something new. A small line, a background character, a hint that Rowling dropped chapters before it mattered. That feeling of catching a secret is my favorite part of being a fan.
Harry Potter is not just a story I like. It is a place I go back to whenever I need to feel at home.
Why I made Harry Quiz
When I looked online for Harry Potter content, I kept running into the same two problems. Some pages were so short they told me nothing. Others were so long and boring they felt like a school textbook. I wanted something in the middle, something that sounds like a real fan talking to another fan.
So I started Harry Quiz. It is a place to test what you know, learn about the characters you love, and maybe find out things you missed. I am not a professor and I do not pretend to know everything. I am just someone who really cares about this world, and I want you to enjoy it as much as I do.
What you will find on this site
- QuizzesFun tests for every kind of fan, from "I watched the movies once" to "I know every spell." No pressure. Just see how you do and try again.
- Character guidesWho they are, what they went through, what makes them special, and the small details that most people forget. Even side characters like Tonks get the attention they deserve.
- Book vs. movie notesThe books have so much that the movies had to leave out. When it matters, I tell you what changed so you do not miss the good stuff.
- Fan thoughtsSometimes I share my own opinions, and I will always say clearly when it is my opinion and not a fact.
How I write every page
I try to make each guide something you can actually use, not just something to scroll past. Here is what I stick to:
- I go back to the source. I check the books first, then the movies, so what I write is right and not just something I half remember.
- I keep it simple. Short sentences and easy words. If a sentence sounds like a boring school report, I rewrite it.
- I say what is book and what is movie. Fans argue about this all the time, and it helps to know which one you are reading about.
- I fix mistakes fast. I am a fan, not a machine. If I get something wrong, tell me and I will correct it.
- I write it like I would tell a friend. Honest, friendly, and a little bit nerdy.
What I believe as a fan
Everyone loves Harry, Ron, and Hermione, and I do too. But I think the wizarding world is at its best in the small moments and the quieter characters. The ones who were brave even when nobody was watching. That is why so many of my pages are about people who do not always get the spotlight.
I also believe there is no wrong way to be a fan. You can love the books, the movies, the games, or just the feeling of a rainy night with a Butterbeer in your hand. If Hogwarts feels like home to you, you belong here.
